Trick-Or-Treating

Taylor was so incredibly excited to go trick-or-treating this year! She made a last minute costume change to a purple dress because it was so warm out and it had sparkles on it. We glitter sprayed her and put purple barrettes in her hair which she thought was really cool! Surprisingly Hayden got into her chick costume and even left the hat on! They both had been wearing different costumes all week so she was ready. Brady felt the last minute urge to dress up so I was a cowgirl and he wore his DEWALT toolbelt and hardhat. The belt was awesome for storing candy! We headed over to Windsor Forrest here in Williamsburg to meet up with some friends. All of the kids looked so adorable! They were decked out in glow bracelets, necklaces, and wands so we could keep track of them in the dark. Once they got started there was no stopping them! Taylor had a blast running from house to house to get candy. At one point she and her friend Madison got into it over taking turns ringing the doorbell! Three year olds! The poor guy answered the door to both girls crying! I have to admit that I thought it was funny from the end of the driveway! Hayden didn't seem scared of any of the houses or costumes-- thank goodness! I had an awwwww moment when Taylor took a break from the pack to walk up to a house with Hayden and helped her hold her bucket out for treats. Next we loaded up in the back of a friend's truck and had a hay ride around the neighborhood. So fun! Of course Brady and I are parents of the year for holding our 18 month old on the tailgate of a truck around the neighborhood! At around 9 our kids were melting down! We headed home and realized that we had only been eating candy not dinner...ooops! What were we to do? Head to Chick fil a! We sat around our table for dinner at 9:45! Taylor woke up thinking we were going to do that every night and Brady had to explain that it is only once a year. She told me that she was good at trick-or-treating and she got lots of candy. We had a great Halloween!

Thanks Walk Family for a great evening!
