Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so relaxing this year! We woke up and grabbed some coffee and donut holes at Dunkin Donuts before catching the ferry to go strawberry picking. Taylor had a lot of fun throwing bread off of the back of the ferry to the seagulls. Hayden, as usual, was afraid of the birds and decided that it was much safer to watch! Our girls are SO opposite when it comes to taking chances!!! We went to Surry to pick berries at College Run Farms. We grabbed a couple of huge baskets and headed to the back corner of the field and the strawberries were amazing! Both of the girls insisted on carrying their own baskets which got pretty heavy by the end! Taylor raced around searching for the perfect berries and Hayden decided to stay right by our sides and help us pick. After filling our baskets to the top we headed in for some of their delicious homemade strawberry ice cream... yum!!! We made a stop at Fresh Market to pick up some food to grill and headed home. The girls were excited for strawberry smoothies and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Then it was off to nap for the kids! The rest of the evening was spent out in the sun relaxing in the backyard. Perfect day with the family :)

Taylor remembered getting homemade strawberry ice cream here last year so she couldn't wait to get it again!
