Headed to the Mountains

We had the opportunity to take a vacation within our vacation this year! We headed up to the mountains a few days before Christmas and the prediction of a big snow was exciting! The drive up was BEAUTIFUL even though the kiddos were a little sick of traveling and just wanted to get out of the car! We stayed in a little town called Frisco and I think Brady fell in love..... his mission then became trying to convince my parents that they needed a place in the mountains! We are going to keep working on them! When the kids went down for bed Brady and I went to walk around Breckenridge which looks like something you would see in a book! Snow falling, lights up, adorable little shops.... if you haven't been you MUST go! With hot chocolate in hand we walked the town avoiding some close calls on the ice and numbing cold!! We forgot what it was like to shop together and not yelling NO TOUCH! Ahhhhhhh.....

The next morning Dad, Brady and I headed out to ski Copper Mountain. I was excited and nervous at the same time but it really does just come back to you THANK GOODNESS!!!! The view was breathtaking from the top. At one point we got to the middle of a run and it was black diamond or black diamond. Apparently my Dad judges difficulty in mogules and bowls. If they are not there it is overrated. I think it counts if you have to look over the EDGE to see down!!! It was fine and we obviously lived to tell :) Great day of skiing!

The snow moved in that night and it was gorgeous in the morning! We had hot drinks and warm pajamas..... perfect. We decided to take the girls to the park for some fun. We didn't think it through when we put them down the slide after a fresh snow fall. They collected all of the snow on the way down and end up in a mound at the bottom. Both girls were crying and being the great parents we are we were laughing.
